🚗 Teen Safe Driving Matters! 🚗
On April 9, 2026, the Monroe County Health Department partnered with Monroe City High School to host a Click-It-Or-Ticket event—and it was a success!
✅ 168 drivers and passengers were wearing their seatbelts
⚠️ 8 were not buckled up
👏 Even better—2 of those individuals chose to put their seatbelts on after the event!
Every decision counts when it comes to safety on the road. Thank you to our students and community for supporting Teen Safe Driving and helping make safer choices every day!

⚫️🟡 At Monroe City High School, we want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our spring sports officials.
Your time, professionalism, and commitment help make competitive athletics possible for our student-athletes. From track meets to baseball and softball games, officials play a huge role in creating opportunities for kids to compete, grow, and learn valuable life lessons through sports.
We also want to recognize one of our own, former Monroe City teacher and coach Charley Welker, for his continued impact on high school athletics. Charley was recently featured on the MSHSAA All Access Podcast in an episode spotlighting spring sports officials. In the episode, he was interviewed as a veteran track & field official and shared his experiences alongside new official Kennede Coleman. The episode highlighted how officiating has enriched their lives and the lives of many others across Missouri.
We are proud to see a Monroe City connection continuing to serve students and schools in such a meaningful way.
