🏆⛳ CANTON MEET CHAMPIONS! Congratulations to our Monroe City High School Girls Golf Team on bringing home 1st place at the Canton Golf Meet today! 🏆 MONROE CITY IS HEADED TO THE MISSOURI SPORTS HALL OF FAME! 🏆 Generations of Panthers will be celebrated this fall as the Monroe City High School Boys Track & Field Program is officially inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame! This incredible honor belongs to the athletes, coaches, managers, families who helped build the proud tradition of Monroe City Track & Field through the years. All Monroe City High school boys track and field athletes coaches and managers will be inducted at this ceremony. Families of the honorees are encouraged to attend. Every honoree in attendance will receive a personalized plaque and go on stage for the ceremony. Every honoree will be recognized by name on stage. MCHS was excited to host our College Fair, welcoming 33 college representatives to campus to visit with students and share information about college, career, and post-secondary opportunities!

We were also glad to welcome students from Paris, North Shelby, Palmyra, and South Shelby to join our MCHS students for the event.

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Yarbrough for organizing the College Fair and providing our students with a great opportunity to explore their options after high school!

📚 ELA Learning in Action at MCHS! 🐾🖤💛 Mrs. Mulvaney’s ELA classes are bringing literature to life! 🎢 Sophomores are creating an “Emotional Roller Coaster” based on “The Story of an Hour.” Students are tracking the protagonist’s changing emotions as she processes the news of her husband’s death and connecting those emotions to key moments in the story. 🎲 Freshmen are taking on “The Most Dangerous Game” Board Game! Students are putting their knowledge to the test by answering questions about the story as they make their way through the game. Great examples of students being engaged, thinking critically, and having fun with literature! #MCHS #PantherPride #ELA #LearningInAction #EngagedLearning 🐾
