Panther Golf Results – South Shelby Golf Tournament Our Monroe City golf team battled through tough competition today, finishing 4th place at the South Shelby Invitational with a team score of 348. 🟡⚫ Top 4 Team Finishes: 1️⃣ Palmyra – 320 2️⃣ South Shelby – 324 3️⃣ Canton – 346 4️⃣ Monroe City – 348 Cole Hays led MC with an 83 to place 10th individually. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Middle School Track & Field Recap – Macon Relays Our Monroe City Middle School boys and girls teams competed hard today at the Macon Relays! 🏃‍♂️⚾ Last Night's Panther Action ⚾🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♂️ Monroe City hosted the Dennis Hancock Invitational and our athletes showed OUT! 🌟 Wyatt DeGrave broke his own school record in the high jump, clearing an incredible 6’8”! 💪 Bradi Keller dominated the distance events, winning both the 1600m and 3200m, and placing 2nd in pole vault! 🥇 Wyatt DeGrave also took 1st in Triple Jump. 🥇 Timia Reinberg took 1st in the Discus with a throw of 36.36m! 🥈 Destiny Joner-Bias earned 2nd in Javelin with a throw of 32.52m! 🥈 Emily Lincoln flew to 2nd in the 200m Dash! 🥉 Girls 4x100m Relay team took 3rd overall! On the diamond, our varsity baseball team fell to Macon 20-2 and JV lost a close one 1-0. We'll bounce back and continue to grow. #MCPRIDE

Wednesday evening, the National Honor Society held their spring ceremony. The seniors received their stoles and new officers were inducted. Congratulations! #mcpride

On Monday April 14th, twelve of our 7/8th grade choir members traveled to Columbia, MO to participate in the Northeast 7/8 Honor Choir. These twelve students, and 240 students from our music district, spend the day rehearsing and then performing with their wonderful clinician Dr. Blake Richter. The students enjoyed working with Dr. Richter and all the other students. They put on a wonderful concert and represent Monroe City Middle School with pride! Congratulations to these musical students!

The following is from the After Prom Committee: Please don't forget to complete the three needed items by April 20 if your Junior/Senior child plans to attend the After Prom party! Each MCHS junior and senior receives a gift so they need to have it all completed by April 20 to make sure they receive one! If they have an out of town/underclassmen date, their date also needs to complete the necessary steps so please have them relay the information!
