Mrs. Layton and Ms. Bartholomew are attending the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference. It allows music educators to learn new teaching methods, network with teachers around the state of Missouri, listen to other schools perform and so much more! Monroe City band uniform was displayed at the vendor area for hundreds of attendees to view. PLUS Ms. Bartholomew was a presenter. She and a few others presented to an audience of 100+ new music educators. The presentation covered the highs and lows of the first years of teaching!

This year's fifth grade Library class is reading The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies. The premise of the book is a lemonade war between a brother and his younger sister. The class's midway project was a competition to see which group (table) could create the best ad to sell their brand of lemonade. The winners of this year's Lemonade War is the team of Logan Keller and Will Franklin. The winning team will receive a pizza party. Congratulations to Logan and Will.
