On Saturday, 4/11, the Monroe City Music Department welcomed approximately 250 students to the middle school for the second Monroe City Middle School Music festival. 5 judges heard bands, choirs, and solos and small ensembles from 11 different schools. Congratulations to the following Monroe City choir and band students for their amazing performances!

MCHS Scholarship Night brought together businesses, organizations, and families to celebrate and support our students as they are recognized for their achievements and prepare for their next educational adventures.
We are incredibly grateful to those who continually invest in our students’ success. A special thank you to Mrs. Murphy and the Counseling Office for their hard work and dedication in organizing such a meaningful night.

On Monday, April 13th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students participated in the NEMMEA 6th Grade and 7/8 Grade Honor Choirs. Students spent the day working under clinicians Stephanie Myers, Arika Winborne, and Dr. Barb Lamont, along with over 600 students from around our Northeast music district. The students worked hard and gave excellent performances. Congratulations to our musical middle school students on this achievement!

Future Plans: I plan to go to MACC to get my general education and then transfer to a different college to get my degree in graphic design.
Favorite High School Memory: My favorite memory is getting back in touch with my best friend freshman year.
Favorite Teacher: Mrs. Mudd and Mrs. Layton
Enjoys: I like working at Daycare, hanging out with my boyfriend, making music on a DJ board, sleeping, taking photos of the sky, watching tornado videos, cheering on Palmyra during games and going to church.
Activity Involvement: I am active in FFA, Choir, Art Club, Quiz Bowl and my church
Favorite High School Class: Piano Lab with Mrs. Layton.
Advice to Underclassmen: Just because you fit doesn't mean you belong there, it means your just in the wrong place.
